Please enjoy the four minute video of a few of the art works I've created over the last thirty years.

Artist Barre Pinske began working on a wood lathe with his Grandfather at age 6 in Rural Minnesota. Throughout his career he has been a pioneer at the art of chainsaw carving winning contests, developing tools, processes and producing events. The Artist moved to Cape Cod in the mid 1980’s he has been in Chester Vermont since 2007. Pinske had a carved bear and eagle gifted to the Russians by the U.S. Pentagon under Ronald Regan during the nuclear disarmament talks, has been extensively collected by Steven Tyler, all Aerosmith members have his work and has a sculpture called Man and his Music in the entry of Prince's Paisley Park Museum in Chanhassen, MN. Pinske is well known for his Folk Art chainsaw carvings including widely collected chainsaw carved wooden bears but has a much broader scope of work. He creates abstract art, unique furniture, paintings, and cast's wood in epoxy and resin creating countertops, bowls and tables. Barre has been featured on CNN Headline News, in USA Today Weekend, The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, Cape Cod Times, local and regional publications and Tv news programs too numerous to mention. Pinske has created thousands of works over the years many early pieces are turning up at auction houses and are becoming collectibles.

Since 2009 Pinske has produced an annual carving event called The Big Buzz Chainsaw Carving Festival in the Chester area. The Big Buzz, is re-occurring Columbus Day Weekend and features carvers from across the country an often around the world. The event includes a quick carve event which Pinske is credited to having been his brain child in the early 1980's. In a Quick Carve event Artist's create works of art in and hour after which the works are auctioned off to the public supporting the event and the artists. The Quick Carve event has become a staple at carving festivals around the world. The Big Buzz also includes Fire Sculptures a process taken to another level by Pinske where artist's slice large logs in such a way that they burn for hours in an interesting fashion.
